Finally, finished this top, it only needed buttonholes. Finished those tonight and now it is too cool around here for short sleeves. I will have a new blouse for spring. It is Simplicity 4112 and the fabric is a shirting from Joann's.
Oh, my Christmas present didn't last very long. I gave college girl her laptop bag when she came home this afternoon! She did love it. My younger daughters talked me into it.
I love it - you did a great job on it! I'll have to see what kind of fabric Joann's has next time I visit. I really need to sew this pattern up!

ReplyDeleteHow funny - you know I have a hard time saving gifts as well! This way, maybe you'll get some orders to make some for her sorority sisters. :o) I don't know if you'd want that or not, but it'll probably happen with the nice work you've done. The shirt looks great as well. I started a tank top this summer and when I realized that it wouldn't be hot enough to wear it, I just stopped. I should really just finish it this winter - then I'll actually have it to wear when the warm weather hits again!
