See the medal around her neck? My daughter was valedictorian of her class. A three-way tie with 2 other girls, all having a 4.0.
My husband and I are so proud.
I am wearing the dress, it was so comfortable but the picture doesn't show it the best.
Now, this is our second valedictorian, 3 years ago our oldest daughter received this honor, she had a 4.0 and was in a three-way tie.
Congratulations!!!!!! to your graduate and you too, Lori! Two valedictorians in one family says a great deal about your commitment to parenting and education.
ReplyDeleteAnd you look great, too!

Congratulations to everyone! Great photo of the proud parents and beaming graduate!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all of you! What a great accomplishment. I love the 'symbolism' of the car keys clutched in her hand with the diploma. ;-)

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all - the proud parents and the genius daughter!
ReplyDeleteValedictorian, wow! Congratulations on raising such a beautiful, smart daughter.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a lovely day for the graduation. May is so nice. I've been to 3 already (3 of my 4 kids--the 4th graduates next year) and they do it in the end of June when it is hot, hot, hot. My husband and I learned to bring mini-fans with us!
I bet your daughter made a great speech. Listening to the principal and administrators bores me, but I always like to hear what the kids have to say--they are always more entertaining, LOL!
Good luck to your daughter. May her future be full of magical adventures!
Congratulations! And the dress looks great. Very youthful but in a good way.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your daughter!!! and ditto what sewpaula said. Was it a surprise that she the valedictorian?
ReplyDeleteShe's the one that also did so well in track too, right?
Sounds like she's a hard worker.

ReplyDeleteCongrats to DD and your whole family! Best wishes to her! (and the dress looks great too!)
ReplyDeleteI like the idea about the letter in 6th grade - I might do something similar with DS and save it in my dresser drawer where all his baby teeth and letters to Santa are hiding!!
Congratulations to your daughter!!! You look stunning in your new dress!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you and your daughter for her accomplishments. She couldn't have gotten that far without help from mom. It shows a commitment to education and a willingness to be a parent ... not just a friend. You and your DH have every right to be proud of all of your girls.
