Pattern: New Look 6823

Description: Misses’ Dress with collar and sleeve variations

Sizing: 8 to 18, I made a 12

Instructions: They were very good, you just need to look at the instructions for the collar and the bodice. The rest of the construction process is straightforward.


Likes/Dislikes: I like, like, LIKE this dress. It is so flattering on and it is so quick to sew. My only dislike is I wanted a dress with long sleeves, but I ran short of fabric.

I also like the collar on this top. I am happy the larger dots worked out for the collar on my dress, I had very little fabric left so I am very happy all the placement worked out.

Changes: None at all.

Fabric: An ITT knit from Fashion Fabrics Club. I was inspired by Toy’s fabric purchase and then her dress

I knew this fabric was destined to be this dress.

Conclusion: A great pattern, one of those hidden treasures. It doesn’t take long to sew but the results are fab-u-lous!!! I have a sweater knit in the washer and I am going to make this pattern again. This time in long sleeves and it will be perfect for oldest daughter’s college graduation on December 20th.

Oh, one more thing, I think this would be a great top, too.
