I have been pulling out my TNT (tried and true) patterns. I made this Vogue top in May and really liked it. Some people might not like the unfinished neckline but I don't mind it, a bit trendy and a quick sew. I used a bamboo knit from Needle Nook fabric and barely squeezed the 3/4 sleeve version out of my yardage. Another interesting knit top and you can tell more from the line drawing. Take a look at the nice darts ont he 3/4 sleeve version and the seams for the front bodice/yoke. Makes for an even more interesting knit top.
Here is my top, photographed on our 100th straight day of no sun (really it has been 7-8 but feels like 100) plus 7" of rain this month. Gloomy, I tell you.

I have one more TNT knit top made and needs photographed. Plans for two more and then I am going to work on a Pea Coat from a gorgeous piece of teal wool.
I can't see your photo, Lori! I made the same pattern a while ago and really didn't like it. I'd really like to see how yours turned out.
ReplyDeleteHere's a link to my blog with the photo of mine:

I LOVE the tie at the neckline - it makes this top look really special. That shade of blue is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue top! You'll enjoy wearing that all winter. Oooohh--with winter white pants--wow!
ReplyDeleteI think that you used a wonderfully cheery fabric to make a great top to combat the gloom and doom of the weather.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the blue top and bet it looks great on you. And I'm cracking up to read you're starting a coat. Right before I pulled your blog up, I sent you an email saying I was going to start on my coat. No lie. We really must have been separated at birth. LOL
ReplyDeleteWell, it was all my browser's fault; I looked at your blog from Internet Explorer rather than Firefox and viola'! I can see your blouse!
ReplyDeleteIt looks really nice; I think your knit must be sturdier than mine...
I really like it. I wish I would have read this yesterday when I was in J's I could have gotten the pattern for $4. Guess I'll have to make a note to pick it up during the next sale - super cute and I want one! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis pattern is perfect for some striped fabric that I have. Love the tie front.
ReplyDeleteI have loved that top since I first saw it, but wonder if it would work for me? It's beautifully done, Lori...no doubt a very flattering top.
