New Wreath

I have been seeing these wreath designs throughout blogland and they started with Eddie Ross Today, with the help of college daughter, Erin, we went shopping for round ornaments and ribbon. I wanted to hang my wreath on the two mirrors above my bed. The colors in my bedroom are blues, browns and creams. So I went with a blue and silver theme of ornaments. Here is one of the finished ones, I have to buy more ornaments for the second one.

From the side:

Erin made one for her apartment, using these blue, silvers and added small hot pink ornaments with polka dots. She just left and took this wreath with her, I will have to get a picture later, it is darling.

We also, made one for a friend for a Christmas present, in reds, greens and golds. Another winner and this is so simple.

The ornaments were purchase at Wal-Mart and they are shatterproof. Similar to this product but the ones we bought had an assortment of colors and sizes.

We did some more crafting together but I need sunshine to photograph this next project. It sure was fun, crafting and creating with her.

  7. That's a great ides. I need a new wreath for my front door. It used to be painted white so I used the traditional green and red. It looked so pretty. Then I painted it a burnt orange color which looks much better with our house but not with green and red. I'm having trouble getting anything to show up very well. I think white and gold would be really pretty in a wreath like this on my door. Thanks for the idea.

  8. That is soooo funny you posted that wreath (which is gorgeous BTW) because my MIL, SIL, & I are going to make them after Thanksgiving dinner as our craft. I had emailed them the link to the Eddie Ross site a few weeks ago and they both loved it. They both have their ornaments already, but I still need to buy some so I'll have to trek out to Wally World and see what they have. Do you remember how much they were? Also, how many did you end up using. The tutorial said about 80 so I was wondering if that is what you used too. So beautiful, I love the colors you used!

  14. I can't wait to make one of these. Now I would like to know how many of the women who like these and will make them have husbands who like them or who just say nah. That's my husband's response but I'm making them anyway. Who can I give 2 or 3 of them to?
