I made another one of these bags for a sample at the quilt shop. Ruth asked what pattern I used, well, no pattern. I saw something like this on a flickr picture or a blog and thought I would try it.
I purchased a charm pack, which according to Moda Bake Shop contains 42 squares - Each Charm square is 5” x 5” I then sew 7 rows of 5 charm packs. The sides are three rows and one row is the bottom. The construction is then like a rectangle bag.
This time I added jumbo rick-rack to the top.

I have some fabric lined up for a blouse for me but I am trying to make a quilt for dd#2. She is moving into a much nicer apartment and I want to surprise her with a new quilt and throw pillows. I think the move will happen before I get these items made.
