I just finished a sample for my friend's shop. She sold all the kits from one quilt at the first day of Shop Hop, so we made kits from another fabric line. I came home and made the sample, worked on it from 9 p.m. until midnight and it is done!
Cute quilt! and your friend is very lucky to have you and Meredith to help her with her shop :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is just incredible. The circular stitching is amazing. I am not a quilter (never say never) but I appreciate all the hard work. Looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is beautiful! I love the "bloom" down in the corner! I need to quilt more. I don't think I've picked up a block in more than a year!
ReplyDeleteLori, that quilt is AMAZING!!! Stunning. Wonderful! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful quilt. Someone did a magnificient job of quilting it. Back in the 80s, I was quilting BY HAND. It was the thing to do, and machine quilting was considered "crafty". And then, things started changing. Machine quilting, by home sewing machine, came into vogue, with awards given to the best machine quilting. That was followed by the industrial quilting machines. All are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love this quilt! I'm just curious as to how much it costs to have someone do the quilting part for you. I may make a lap quilt in the fall and I'd like to go all out and quilt it too, like yours. Is it super expensive?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! Both the fabric and the quilting!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! It's so fun! I can see why all the kits sold so quickly.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! I love the colors and the design--reminds me of the colors and motifs that were popular way back when I got married!
ReplyDeleteLynda
This quilt is beautiful! I love all of the "hidden" details.
