So does anyone have any good ideas on fabric? I was thinking a lightweight denim but not positive.
Suggestions, please?

On a sad note, please keep my friend, Anne, owner of Needle Nook Fabrics in your thoughts. Here is her blogpost.
Denim sounds good. In the pattern photo it looks like they might have used grey and white striped seersucker. It's a super cute outfit for a young woman.
ReplyDeleteWhatever you choose will look fabulous, for sure. Love Cynthia Rowley.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your friend's loss. I lost my dad six years ago. I awoke missing him terribly yesterday, but special memories of him brought me comfort throughout the remainder of the day.
Hi Lori, I'd definitely go lightweight with this jacket. Maybe a silk or rayon blend? A little drapiness would be nice, I think.
ReplyDeleteThere are some nice linen/rayon blends and stretch sateens on sale at Fabric.com right now that would make a cute spring jacket. If you order from them, use coupon code BRTH11A for an extra 15% off. I just placed an order this morning and received free shipping and 15% off on top of the sale prices. Yippee for me!
ReplyDeleteIt depends on what you would wear it with. I'd start off with the denim and if you like it, try it from some other fabrics. I'm sure it'll be great!
ReplyDeleteI think a lightweight chambray would be nice for the dress. A heavier twill for the jacket would work I think. Whatever you choose, I know she will love it!
ReplyDeleteI love that pattern and think it's one of my Cynthia Rowley favorites. I love the idea of light weight chambray too.
ReplyDeleteI love that pattern. Hey I love anything Cynthia Rowley period. I agree with everyone else, you should go with either a Chambray or Silk.
