Recently, I have been working my part-time job and substituting 2-3 days a week. With this in mind, I added a cami under the Vogue dress, too much bending over students' desks!
The oh, my gosh, what do I do with my hands pose! |

Pretty dress and luv all the reviews for v1250
ReplyDeleteI love the dress and print is awesome.
ReplyDeleteLooks very professional and right on trend!
ReplyDeleteI love this! It looks fashionable and comfortable; and you look marvellous. Slim and trim and very pretty!
ReplyDeletebeautiful - know what you mean about the posing
ReplyDelete:-(
This looks really lovely. Wonderful idea of adding sleeves - and the cami underneath - also brilliant idea.
ReplyDeleteI like how you have styled that dress with your cami and tights, and with a black jacket. Ir's a really nice outfit. I didn't realize you are a teacher. Wow.
ReplyDeleteCute version!
ReplyDeleteFantastic version! I love it. g
ReplyDeleteThis pattern looks great with sleeves. I really like the fabric and the way you have styled the dress. It suits you beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI love this dress with sleeves , did you just draft your own ?
ReplyDeleteLove your fabric, and the combination with the cardi/cami. Great outfit!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! Your dress is one of the best versions I've seen so far. You've inspired me to pull out a similar knit and maybe give that a try with this pattern:)
ReplyDeleteWow, gorgeous outfit! I love this dress with the sleeves, belt, cami and tights. I had not considered buying this pattern, even with all the positive reviews, until now.
ReplyDeleteyou know what, I think its the print, that print is really selling this dress, you look great!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so becoming on you.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome outfit!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to make this pattern, and I really like it with sleeves for the cooler weather. You look stylish and very professional in your outfit.
ReplyDeleteThe sleeves work beautifully. Another great version of this pattern.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great looking outfit and very nicely styled. I see you "used the Piperlime wall very thoughtfully!"
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! Great fabric! I love the cami peeking out and with the tights and cardi.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I love the dress. It looks great on you! But secondly, I must have been channeling you yesterday because I not only started a Vogue 1250 last night (in black) but I also purchased a Missoni-look fabric yesterday to make a dress! LOL. Mine is shades of autumn - brown, green, etc. Too funny that we are still sewing alike.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I made this dress once already and it didn't seem like my cowl draped as low as yours does. I'll be curious to see how my black one turns out tonight.
A great style on you! I wish I was taller!! Love the cami and tights. I also wear a cami under most of my tops due to the fact that I teach fifth graders!
ReplyDeleteYour porch looks very inviting. Enjoy.
I just love this dress on you and your outfit looks wonderful. I think the sleeves give this dress a different look and I really do like it.
ReplyDeleteI love the whole look - everything about it. I want it! LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's fantastic! I love that you added the short sleeves and how you styled it with the cami and cardigan.
ReplyDeleteThis pattern is a goldmine for sewers - love your latest version. Mine hangs quite low, I've noticed that the greater the drape in the fabric, the lower the neckline. Might have to apply some smart thinking to this!
ReplyDeleteLori, you are beautiful, and so stylish!
ReplyDeletefantastic dress! definitely want to make sure tops/dresses are not too low cut when subbing. I also always check to make sure tops are long enough in the back that nothing shows when I raise my arms or sit down.
ReplyDeletei love this pattern, but the smallest size is a six. do you think it would be hard to alter it down to a four/two?
This is my favorite thing you have made! And that is saying a lot because I love all your stuff. I put this pattern back the last time I was at Joann's. I am going today to buy it. The sleeve addition is brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI love your dress! I used that same fabric for an M6069 dress. I love it. Great print.
