Vogue 1250

I made this again from a Missoni looking fabric from Fabric Mart and the only change was adding sleeves.  I used  Debbie's blog post on her alterations.  I love the sleeves on this dress and it makes the pattern a year-long go-to pattern.

Recently, I have been working my part-time job and substituting 2-3 days a week.  With this in mind, I added a cami under the Vogue dress, too much bending over students' desks!

The oh, my gosh, what do I do with my hands pose!

  12. Absolutely gorgeous! Your dress is one of the best versions I've seen so far. You've inspired me to pull out a similar knit and maybe give that a try with this pattern:)

  21. First of all, I love the dress. It looks great on you! But secondly, I must have been channeling you yesterday because I not only started a Vogue 1250 last night (in black) but I also purchased a Missoni-look fabric yesterday to make a dress! LOL. Mine is shades of autumn - brown, green, etc. Too funny that we are still sewing alike.

BTW, I made this dress once already and it didn't seem like my cowl draped as low as yours does. I'll be curious to see how my black one turns out tonight.

  22. A great style on you! I wish I was taller!! Love the cami and tights. I also wear a cami under most of my tops due to the fact that I teach fifth graders!
Your porch looks very inviting. Enjoy.

  26. This pattern is a goldmine for sewers - love your latest version. Mine hangs quite low, I've noticed that the greater the drape in the fabric, the lower the neckline. Might have to apply some smart thinking to this!

  27. Lori, you are beautiful, and so stylish!

  28. fantastic dress! definitely want to make sure tops/dresses are not too low cut when subbing. I also always check to make sure tops are long enough in the back that nothing shows when I raise my arms or sit down.

i love this pattern, but the smallest size is a six. do you think it would be hard to alter it down to a four/two?

  29. This is my favorite thing you have made! And that is saying a lot because I love all your stuff. I put this pattern back the last time I was at Joann's. I am going today to buy it. The sleeve addition is brilliant!
