Can you believe it is almost Thanksgiving? Wasn't it just here? Well, it is that time of year to think about all my blessings and everything I am thankful for. My list is very long and I am very thankful for many things. My family and friends are right at the top of the list. Also, my sewing is on the list, I am very thankful for such a fun and fulfilling hobby. I have always enjoyed sewing but thanks to the internet community, I really enjoy sewing. I have made incredible friendships thanks to these blogs. I get so many ideas from other blogs, Pattern Review, Pinterest, Cabi and Flickr to name a few. Also, thanks to the internet I have found great fabric online, new patterns to try and books to buy. My cup runneth over, not too mention my fabric shelves, pattern cabinets, notion drawers and bookshelves.
With all this thankfulness in mind, I would like to giveaway a book from my sewing bookshelf. I have enjoyed the book, the projects and the photography and want someone else to enjoy the book also.
How to enter:
Leave a comment on what you are thankful for - sewing, crafting, something or someone from the online community.
I will draw next Tuesday the 22nd and get it mailed on Wednesday.
Thanks
I'm thankful for all the online sources for fabrics, notions etc since I rarely find what I'm looking for locally. And I'm thankful for all the reviews you post, they give me such inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything you have said! The Internet makes sewing even better. It brings so much encouragement and so many resources that we would't otherwise have.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say that I'm thankful for the blogging community who love to 'talk' about the hobbies I like: sewing, knitting, crafting, and who are so unselfish in sharing ideas. And Lori, you are right up there with the best of them!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I'm thankful for so many things, but to keep it in tune with sewing - I'm super thankful for the wonderful online community I've met that has inspired me to take my sewing to the next level, learn how to make a pattern fit me properly, and been an inspiration to try things I might have not tried otherwise. Happy Thanksgiving Lori!
ReplyDeleteNice giveaway. I too, am thankful for the online sewing and crafting community. I happy to have such a wealth of information at my fingertips. I am also thankful that the community has kept me from losing my job. Let me explain. I have one of those terribly annoying co-workers, who on my last day at work here, I will probably tell her what she can do with a misplaced folder etc. Anyhoo, when said co-worker is attempting to drive me insane, i take a break and log on to find a creation, an idea, a new source of materials that someone has posted. Usually this brings me back from the edge and I can deal with the co-worker in a calm manner.
ReplyDeleteI'm so thankful for a mother who taught me to sew. I am also thankful for finding all of the wonderful sewing blogs out there. It is so great to find inspiration and knowledge from all of them!

I am thankful for once again having a real sewing room (a loft with 4 windows no less!) in our own home--after living in Asia for 7 years--and being able to sew Christmas jammies for all 8 grandchildren this year!
