I have been sewing, just not getting any pictures, it is so hard with the short daylight hours. So here is a couple of pieces from my closet.
The top is Vogue 8597, blogpost here and the skirt was made way back when (2005) before I had a blog. It is Simplicity 9825 and you can read the review here. I have always liked this skirt and happy I have kept it in my closet so long. I do need to do a different belt or no belt. Not liling the look in the picture, too straight, need some definition in the outfit. Suggestions?
Nice outfit Lori. I sometimes think taking photos of our finished garments is the hardest part of sewing. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the colors together. Maybe a longer or chunkier necklace? I think the one you have one is maybe getting lost in all the cowl action.
ReplyDeleteI love that you are still wearing a skirt made in 2005. Your belt to fabulous - accessories make an outfit.
ReplyDeleteOutfit looks great. What about a different belt to change things up? Perhaps a vest?
ReplyDeleteActually, Lori, I think you look very classic. And I think tha'ts okay every now and then!
ReplyDeleteActually, I love the whole look just as you put it together - especially with the belt. You look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteGreat styling.
ReplyDeleteI think a tie at your natural waist, in the same fabric as the top, would help to define your waist, giving you a better silhouette. The two pieces do complement each other, and it is a great outfit.
