As I stated in an earlier post, I am taking a break from the Wardrobe Basic Sewalong to tackle a stack of fabric on my sewing room floor. I was able to sew up two quick tops on Friday. One for me and one for Erin.
First up is a tried and ture pattern for me and one of Erin's favorites, this time from a rayon-lycra knit.
You can find the post with information about my 5 previous garments from New Look 6648 and here is the review.
Continuing the blue theme, a top inspired by Erica's Minty Fresh, using McCall's 6078 for my version and a small piece of knit. I have made this twice before and here is the review and post here.
I bought my lining for my camel skirt on Friday, so this week hope to make this for my sewalong project (my last one I believe)
I love both tops! And what a beautiful shade of blue. Great job on the projects! =)

What a beautiful cowl. It drapes so elegantly. I think I just have the ponte pants to tackle for the sew along too. I muslined my pattern, but need to tweak it just a little more before I cut it out!
ReplyDeletePretty tops... Great colors.
ReplyDeleteTwo very pretty tops Lori. I have bought the second pattern after I saw one your reviews. Blue is so nice for Spring and Summer.
ReplyDeleteBoth tops look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love these colours. They are refreshing.
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling blue - in a good way - this Spring too. Gorgeous colours and the finished tops look lovely.
ReplyDeleteHow funny- I just made the new look top and have the mccalls on my sewing table, just need the right fabric!
