Good luck and thank you for all the comments you leave on my blog throughout the year.
Hi, Lori!
ReplyDeleteFavorite gift I made is a knitted cowl for one of my teenagers. She showed me one she wanted online and I made it for a mere fraction of the 145.00 online one. Hoping to get some dress up skirts done for my 1 and 2 year old granddaughters. Have a Merry Christmas !
Ooh, a give-away! How fun. OK, I am learning to knit and am knitting my first ever scarf. I will probably knit two of them for two special people. Also I have a shirt on the cutting board for another special person. I have a lot to do in the next 3 days, but I'm not worried. :) Uh, oh, no place to leave an email. --LindaC
ReplyDeleteMy favorite gift is the crimson fleece jacket I just finished today. It was a quick sew. Please enter me in the drawing.
ReplyDeleteThe favorite gift I made this year was an infinity scarf made from a Burberry plaid for my daughter's teacher.
ReplyDeleteOh, lovely giveaway! Thanks for the chance to be in to win. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite present I've made (so far - still got one to go, eek, time's running out!) is a red-and-white polka dot apron I made for my sister, from a pattern from 1950. It's got an oval pocket, scalloped hem, and lovely big ties at the back.
I made vogue 1282 a one seam cowl blouse for my daughter. It was quick and easy and came out great. I'm also working on a pair of knitted boot topper by shireen nadir on ravelry. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I've enjoyed your blog all year long.

ReplyDeleteMy best gift so far has to be he bean bags for my niece.
What a nice give-away, Lori!

Merry Christmas to you and your family :-)
Favorite gift is a shirt for my husband (already given). I would like another pair of Kai scissors, and an iPad! Love your blog and your podcasts. Thanks,
ReplyDeleteI live in Canada (Alberta) so if you'd rather keep the contest winner in US - or for the bags in the US and the patterns international, that's completely understandable.
ReplyDeleteMy best gift was a "sweater" set made from knit fabric for my Mom. The last visit out for her I made a copy into a TNT for her so now it's easier to sew for her. Love your blog - Merry Christmas!
We are making lots of fleece ponchos and jackets. I hope to get my own ipod to listen to while sewing. Merry Christmas and thanks for this available.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite gift is the skater beanie I crocheted for my daughter's boyfriend (they're 17). He was so appreciative and he kept saying "I can't believe you made this just for me and no one else can even buy one like it!" <3
ReplyDeleteLove all your new patterns and thanks for the giveaways!!
What a nice gift from you to us. I only made one gift this year, which is a knitted ruffly scarf and matching crocheted headband/earwarmer. It was a hostess gift.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great gift! I have made several gifts this year, as I taught myself how to knit - hats, fingerless mitts, scarfs, and a shawl.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite gift I made is for my 2nd oldest daughter - who is enrolled in culinary classes through our community college while in high school - I made her a purple chef's jacket - with her name embroidered on the pocket! I can't wait for her to open it Christmas morning!
My favorite gift is a Composition Caddy I made for a nephew... he loves to draw and paint! Thanks for the chance to win...
ReplyDeleteI made my mom a cell phone case for Christmas this year. I know she will be happy because she asked for one 2 years ago. Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI am making my Mom a bag pre-cut kit. I will cut the jelly roll from my stash and supply the bag pattern and instructions. No need to sew it up as she can do that. She just won't buy for herself. I can help with that! I will put it in a pretty bag with a fabric ribbon.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping Santa brings me a small digital camera so I can post photos of what I sew. My last one bit the dust. Happy Holidays!
My favorite gift I made was my first quilt, a jelly roll race quilt, that I made for my daughter. Lori, your quilt is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is burp cloths and matching bibs I made for a baby that is still in the oven :-)

ReplyDeleteI made a stars and stripes quilt for my grandson - who was in Afghanistan when I made it. And I learned how to use a longarm to quilt it myself. Can't wait for him to open it!
ReplyDeleteI am furiously working to finish a quilt for my sweet niece. She is ten. Last year I made her a messenger bag and she wrote about it for an assignment at school. When I heard that, I decided that this girl just had to have a quilt. I'm a newish quilter and this twin-sized quilt has been A LOT of work. But I can't wait to give it to her on Christmas!
ReplyDeleteRight now, my favourite is the apron for DH that I made right in front of him yesterday and he didn't look at it or ask what I was doing. I think I'll enjoy seeing the surprised look on his face when he opens his Christmas present this week.
ReplyDeleteHe also tried on a men's dressing gown that is meant for community sewing but I'll make it up for him while he's at work tomorrow.
You're very generous with your giveaway.
Lots of good wishes to you and your growing family for Christmas and New Year.
I made table runners this year for all my girlfriends. Since my daughter is now engaged I decided to start making her table runners for all the holidays so 1 holiday down. I'm always amazed at what my daughters have under the tree for me they tend to spoil me at Christmas time. A very Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteI made two vintage ornament wreaths for gifts which are actually the only two things I made to give away. Then I made one for myself as a gift from me to me!
