Sizing: 10 to 22
Likes/dislikes: I really liked the pockets, the pleats and the wrap dress look. Not dislikes.
Changes: I made View A but left the tabs off the sleeves and then tapered the sleeves so they are more slim fitting. I cut out a 12 but the dress was big, so I took it up on the sides and the fit was better.
Fabric: An ITY fabric
Conclusions: I have really like the look of the dress on all the reviews on Pattern Review. I am not sure this style of this dress on me. I do like it better with the cardigan and I need to find a good belt to complete the look.
I did enjoy finding some time to get back to my sewing machines.

ReplyDeleteI'm making a similar style for my SIL and the pleating and all over print is what she loved. So I guess it depends on what you're comfortable wearing.

ReplyDeleteLori, I love this dress on you! I've made it twice and had a belt dilemma too - one I wear a purchased belt and the other I made a long sash out of the dress material which double wraps around the waist. Great fabric too!

ReplyDeleteI really like it on you, Lori! Thanks for the review as I have the pattern and plan to sew it very soon. Most of my clothes are 8 RTW and I thought I'd cut a 14 based on measurements. Maybe I should rethink that based on what you have written... Again, love it on you!
