The first from a navy-red stripe, headed to Joann's to pick this up after seeing Lynne's top.
I am still tweaking the fit on these, this one looks a bit big in the shoulders. Then I had to take the bottom band off, take off 1", taper the sides from bust down and take out about 1". It still is a bit full in the middle, so I will keep making them and altering them! Also, a very bad hair day.
Then this bright pink fabric, there was just enough on the bolt
Like the new tops especially how you ran the stripe on the binding at the neckline!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carolyn.
DeleteI always get mixed messages about the usefulness of cutting binding like on the renfrew on the bias? I see that you did on the first top but not the second... what differences did you notice?
ReplyDeleteTake Care!

I didn't really notice any difference. I just wanted to change up the stripes a bit on the red/navy shirt.
DeleteCute!! The stripes are so fresh and fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ginger
DeleteLove those tops. The neckbands really add a different touch. Loos great!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I like the bias with the stripes for the neckline.
DeleteNice neckline treatment - did you use a twin needle or do you have a cover stitch machine?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Vicki, I have a coverstitch machine.
DeleteI love the pink fabric!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joen, sometimes at Joann's I find some treasures.
DeleteI love striped tops and the neckline detail is a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ann.
DeleteCute TNT pattern for you!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patty. I am going to try the v-neck next.
DeleteJust in time for spring. There is nothing like a new wardrobe of Ts for spring/summer. I like those stripes!
ReplyDeleteYes, spring is here and then you realize how much you need some new clothes. I always am so hard on my summer clothes.
DeleteLori.....as usual your sewing is impeccable! I love both versions. And I have a question for you....we all age yet you still look the same as when we first "met" about 7 years ago. What's your secret? :) Seriously, you look great!
ReplyDeletePam, you are so kind. It is called Retin - A!!! Also, I wear the sunglasses when the eye wrinkles are just too much. I think it all depends on how much sleep I get.
DeleteI must have some striped T-shirts now!
ReplyDeleteThey are really fun, aren't they.
DeleteThat reminds me to use the stripes in my stash.
ReplyDeleteYour two stripe tops are beautiful.
Girlfriend, you have really worked out the perfect fit for you...well done. AND! Hooray for Retin A!!!!!
