Today's post features their first day of school outfits for kindergarten. They helped me design them, selecting the style, embroideries and embroidery placement.
Kaitlyn is wearing the dress and Meredith is in the swing top and biker-style shorts. Fabric is all from Needle Nook Fabric, I remember making these outfits like it was yesterday!
You can tell they had the "school theme" going on. Kaitlyn wanted the flower in the middle of the dress with the school related items around it. Meredith wanted the school house in the middle and buses running along the bottom.
The pattern is Kwik Sew 2625 (now discontinued) and I made this so many times for these two. Kaitlyns' dress is the top lengthened a few inches.
I have quite a few of their garments I made over the years but unfortunately I don't have these little outfits.
Cutie Pies. Time goes so fast. No it's all about the Grandson.
ReplyDeleteWhat cute outfits! Enjoy this weekend (through the tears!). Graduation is such an emotional but yet exciting time. :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Congratulations to your girls on the graduation :)
ReplyDeleteHow time does fly! It is so nice to have memories of clothes made for various occasions, which make them so extra special. Congratulations to the graduates!
ReplyDeleteI made this pattern for my daughter years ago out of a leopard velour. She looked as cute as your daughters do. :)
ReplyDeleteOH MY!!! I remember the girls picking out this fabrics. Before I read your comments, I thought to myself. hum that looks familiar...Congratulations to the girls.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Your Flashback Friday posts always remind me of the outfits my mom made for us. :)
ReplyDeleteAs you know I 'might' have gotten just as teary eyed reading as you did typing. Has been quite a ride. But one I was glad to be on as I am sure you were too. What great kids we have and I can't wait to see them go out there and conquer the world! :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun the way they got to participate in the design. I wonder which of my kids' outfits I'll choose to keep over the years...
