Renfrew with Trim

Back on November 15th, I posted a couple of trims for this top and asked for your input.  If I counted correctly the leather won 12 to 6.
Sorry for the wonky pose.

So leather it is.  I went with my Renfrew pattern this time, just adding width to the body, shoulders and arms.

Here is a picture lightened up a bit so you can see the trim.  I went with much fewer strips of trim but it looks fabulous with the gray ponte from Joann's (leftover from this project)

I marked the center front of my shirt and put the trim 3/4" off of center front.  I was worried about the horizontal piece across the front.  I wanted it high enough, I think this is a good placement.

A bit darker photo, but wanted to show off my decorated front door.

This top is more fitted and I like the look of this pattern.

Now I think I have enough luxe sweatshirts for now.  Onto my next Mood Sewing Network project.

Your top is as beautiful as the $500-$700 original posted on N-A-P. I recently ordered the renfrew. The red, white, and blue door theme is nice. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I think the leather trim looks great! I agree that the horizontal trim is just high enough. I really need to get my Renfrew pattern out.
