I had a bit more of the Italian faux sequin brocade left from my holiday top and thought it would be a great top for Erin.
I just couldn't let this beautiful fabric go to waste. I saw in my fabric closet a black knit which looked great with the sequin brocade.
I picked Deer and Doe's Datura Blouse for the fabric combination.
The bodice is the sequin fabric
For the back, I omitted the button band and cut on the center back (using a fold)
Here is the front of the top

This was a very rewarding a quick project. I always love using up small scraps of beautiful fabric and this top was the perfect answer for the sequin fabric.
Perfect! I'm glad you were able to use the very last of this lovely fabric!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very sweet top!
ReplyDeleteFashions at the moment are great for using up small remnants. Very cute top.
