Friday Fashion Inspiration - 13

Friday again and time for inspiring sewing projects.  Several of you replied you liked the focus on one type of garment and I did like planning the post that way.  So today is all about tops, quick and easy tops.  Why quick and easy?

  Maybe you need a jump start after the holidays, maybe your wardrobe needs just a little something to add some color/life for the rest of the season, maybe you need something quick to sew in the middle of an extensive tailoring project, or for whatever your maybe might be here is quick and easy tops.....

A tank top for layering or those in the southern hemisphere for the warm temps.  This one from Loft

I have one in a different colorway, purchased just after Christmas - half price and a coupon for 25% off, yes it was a great deal.  Here is why I like it
small pocket for detail but the best reason is the trim at the neckline and arms is knit ribbing.  Really helps keep a loose and flowy tank in place.

Pattern suggestions for this top.  Just add your own ribbing instead of binding or facings

Or if you like the drop shoulder look, Simplicity 1462 would work.  You might have to add the front yoke, raise the neckline a bit and change a bit of the undearm extra.
