I am hoping to squeeze this in by Friday, a wedding to attend. One of my best friend's daughter is getting married. Do you think I can do it?
I have been wanting a large gingham fabric for an Archer and look what Stylemaker Fabrics has
I am going to slim down the middle of the Archer, hubby even commented how he thought it was too big.
I also ordered a natural twill from StyleMaker for a pair of Maritime shorts.
I have plans and fabric for some knit tops, a maxi dress, white jeans, to name a few.
I have a top to blog about and maybe pictures this weekend and when I do have time to sew I am working on a basic quilt. The simple straight stitching is calming me down. I feel like I am running at super speed right now !
Just wanted you all to know I haven't forgotten the blog, it is just plain crazy!
Wow the wedding certainly did get here quickly! Can't imagine how crazy you are, but I'm sure I'll find out in September!! Hope you fit some sewing in I know it's my therapy, love your crepe de chine print.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you are super busy right now! The sewing machine will always wait. I haven't been doing much lately either. Now that baseball and softball are done I can get a few things accomplished, too. That is until Fall sports begin. ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, that is something! I know if you put your mind to it, you'll sew the dress for your friend's daughter's wedding, but be sure to take care of yourself in the midst of all the craziness.
ReplyDeleteLove that gingham by the way! ;)
I feel stressed just reading through your list of things to get done before the big day!!! I downloaded that skirt pattern a few weeks ago and really need to get going on it. I think it is a cute style and easy to make.
ReplyDeleteI know you'll have everything done in time for a great wedding Lori!
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting time for you and your family. Enjoy it! Sewing can wait.
ReplyDeleteLove hearing your sewing plans . Hope you can slow down & enjoy the garden & wedding !!! Did you make your dress for the wedding ?
ReplyDeleteWhen I read your "to do" list, I thought you were going to say that your sewing plans were on hold! But wow - you're amazing! I always look forward to seeing what you create. Good luck with all of your plans!
ReplyDeleteWow... a wedding is always a beautiful event, but preparation is taxing. Love your fabric acquisition.
ReplyDeleteYou have a crazy schedule and it all sounds so fun! You must be a very organized woman as there is so much going on. I love the dress fabric, hope you find a few hours to sew it up. It's all good!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I hope you're able to take a breather after the wedding! It truly sounds crazy! All good things, but wow!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you can do whatever you put your mind to. That Mood abstract print is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThe crepe de chine is beautiful! And why not try and squeeze in a dress? There's always time to sew quickly! It sounds like sewing could be a good mental break from the rush of these final days before the wedding.
