Navy and White Stripe Kimono Tee

The Kristen Kimono Tee is like chocolate chip cookies, I can't have just one!  I love the fact it works for such small amounts of fabric.  On my shelves were several 1 yard pieces.  Why in the world I ever just bought 1 yards I am not sure!  
I had this Mood Fabrics' stripe knit planned for a Petal skirt from Itch to Stitch but guess what not enough yardage!
Next plan is the Kimono Tee, like the previous 3 I have made.

I think this is the kimono tee is the dressiest one yet.  The fabric really makes it look ready for the office or meetings.  Or it just might be I have dressed it up!  Whatever reason, I really like this one.

I did make one adjustment, I lowered the armholes just a bit.  This gave a bit more room for my biceps and the sleeves sit on my arms much better.

I was lucky with the stripe placement, the white fell right in the bust area and the wider navy stripe just aboe the bust.  This gives an illusion of more shape I think.

I am so happy I found this quick little tee pattern.  It is perfect for limited yardage and I think it is great garment for any season.  Just layer up this kimono tee and it can go from summer to fall and then fall to winter.

One more thing about this knit, it is a great beefy knit.  This means no see-through areas in the white and no cami needed

    No cami is a plus makes it a great grab and go shirt! You can never have enough of those in my book - love the blue and white combination on this one.
