Closet Case Morgan Jeans - Mood Fabrics Denim
Spring is coming, at least that is what the calendar says, the weather not so much. I am going to be ready with a new pair of white jeans, this time in Mood Fabrics' Off-White Stretch Denim - 10 oz and this fabric worked perfectly for the Morgan Jeans from Closet Case Patterns. I have made the Ginger Jeans several times and wanted something a bit more relaxed, boyfriend fit.
This denim really looks white even though the description says off-white and the stretch is very slight, which is good for the pattern. The Morgan pattern states non-stretch denim.
I used some of my quilting cotton for the pocket bags and the waistband lining, Kona Snow to be exact. This slight beige color really was perfect so the pocket bags don't show. Now the Morgans call for a button fly and I had no buttons, so I went with a zipper and used the Ginger Jeans instructions. Easy way to do it and I didn't have to wait to shop for buttons.
These are a relaxed fit, boyfriend fit and you can tell this through the seat and hips. This photo is a bit blurry but the only one that shows the back.
I saw a pair of white jeans in the store, had a frayed hem and I was tempted to buy them. Wait, my Morgans can have this finish. I cut the jeans at the cropped length, so this is ankle when not rolled. I stitched a 3/4" from the bottom so the fraying doesn't go crazy. After stitching, I used my seam ripper to pull threads. My floor was a mess but the look is great
These Morgans do fit better the first time make than my Gingers did, I did head to the Closet Case site for fitting tips. I did move the pockets up so much, they were way too low.
Here is the cuffed look
I did add some rivets for these jeans
What are your plans for spring? Any one garment you definitely want to add to your wardrobe?

DeleteThey look really cool with the frayed hems and the fit is fab Lori.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Diane
DeleteGreat fit and style! I need basic tees for the summer and my oldest probably needs shorts.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Emily. I am working on some basic tees now.
DeleteNumerous men, particularly the individuals who dress business easygoing to work each day, don't wear pants that really fit appropriately. Just check out you in any open spot, and you're certain to see men in jeans with a too-long ascent and a loose fit. Also, this is surely not the most complimenting look. So when you search for pants, set aside the effort to give them a shot, and search for these four significant things: rise, wrap, length, and break.Down Pants for Men

ReplyDeleteAmazing topic! Do it yourself or get someone to do it for you. “Can I buy dissertations in 2021?” This is a good question, and the answer will be yes, you can pay an academic essay writer to do the paper for you. Moreover, you can do it safely, so no one in college will find out about this.
