5 Point Blouse - Print

5 point blouse, pattern by Peppermint Creek and published in a Sew News issue. Fabric is rayon from Mood Fabrics

Another 5 Point blouse for me this time in a print with bright colors

My fabric is from stash, an older purchase from Mood Fabrics' and it is out-of-stock but here is the information on this fabric.  I had originally purchased it for a lining but changed my mind.

As I have been working on making some blouses, I pulled this fabric out and thought it would be perfect for the 5 Point Blouse (first one here with pattern info)

I used a metal zipper, mainly because I like the look of the metal.  My fabric on this blouse is lighter in weight than my first version so I fused on SF-101 for more stability.  This worked nicely and my zipper went in perfectly and the fabric doesn't ripple or sag from the weight of the zipper.

I had enough fabric for placement for center front and center back but did not have enough to really match side seams.  I think that is okay, the zipper and the pattern detail makes a statement with this fabric.

  1. As I remember, this pattern originally had some issues that were going to be sorted out...is there another release of this pattern with corrections?
