I had the great honor to be part of of Sewn Magazine's Black is Beautiful Issue
Photo overload, my husband, Mike took some great ones of these garments.
In addition to using all black I had the prompt to add embroidery to my garment. You all do know I love to add embroidery! So what did I make? A Style Arc Ziggi Jacket in a faux leather from
Mood Fabrics, I had that fabric in stash for a couple of years. It was just waiting for the perfect opportunity. I had made the Ziggi once before, here is that post on the Minerva Site
My only change from the first Ziggi was to add just a bit more length to the sleeves.
I did do some diagonal lines on upper sleeve and yoke and a small design in the sleeve gusset Then I added some embroidery designs which are built in on my Pfaff Creative Icon.
My dress is True Bias Nikko Dress and the rib knit came from Fabric.com it was a great rib knit and had some body to it.
I am so excited to be able to share with you all my garments and have been so enjoying wearing my black Ziggi Jacket.
Thanks, Michelle, for inviting me to be a part of this Collector's Issue. As Michelle stated in her Editor's Note, "All the garments made for this issue are black, but they are so creatively colorful"
