A new release from Love Notions and I was so happy to test this pattern
The pattern is the Coda Quilted Coat, I made a size Medium with an extra 2 inches for the body length and 1 inch for the sleeves. The denim and lining is from Joann Fabrics and the quilting fabric from my local quilt shop, Abby's.
The Coda pattern comes with the instructions for piecing the back and they are excellent. Even if you are not a quilter, you can make this back. The pattern does have the flying geese flying down for the pockets but flying geese to me need to go up.
I did quilt the back by outlining most the pieces with a 1/4" quilting.
The sleeves and front were vertical quilting about 1" apart
This does go together quickly with only 3 pattern pieces and I lined it with this cute floral lining (also from Joann Fabrics)
